After an incredible few weeks in theatres across Canada, The Life Coach has officially wrapped up its nationwide run, ending on a high note with a moving final screening in Whitby, Ontario, on April 17, 2025.

As an assistant sports performance coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, she made history as the first Black woman to coach in a Super Bowl. Early Life and Athletic Background

Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Lockwood’s athletic journey began on the soccer field, where she played for the University of Arizona’s women’s soccer team. It was during her time as a student-athlete that Lockwood developed a strong passion for sports performance, an interest that would later define her career.

Transition to Sports Performance Coaching

After graduating in 2015 with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology, Lockwood transitioned into sports performance coaching. Her early coaching roles at East Tennessee State University and the University of Houston gave her the opportunity to work with women’s soccer, basketball, and softball teams, setting the foundation for her future in sports.

Breaking into the NFL

In 2019, Lockwood took a major step forward by joining the NFL through the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Atlanta Falcons. This prestigious program opened doors for Lockwood in a male-dominated field and provided invaluable experience. In 2022, she became an assistant sports performance coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, where she would make history just a year later.

Fast forward to February 2023, and Lockwood made history by becoming the first Black woman to coach in a Super Bowl. Her role with the Eagles during Super Bowl LVII was a testament to her skill, determination, and hard work.
