The movie is centered around Dare William (Timini Egbuson), a privileged young man with a temper and his encounter with Abigail Kuforiji (Toyin Abraham), a pregnant woman with a secret. When both characters get stuck in a faulty elevator, Abigail is forced into an emergency labour, leaving Dare with no choice but to deliver the baby himself.

Fun Fact: Toyin Abraham was actually 7 months pregnant while shooting this movie so the pregnancy is very real.

Producer Niyi Akinmolayan shared a sweet stoory surrounding this. He says:

This woman @toyin_abraham is one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life. We knew we wanted her for the #elevatorbaby role but I wasn’t even sure she would be available and be willing to work with a new young director. But I liked her previous stuff so I reached out and shared the idea. Now This was the fun part. She called me immediately and said…uncle Niyi…who told you. I said who told me what…she said don’t lie who told you. I thought maybe I had messed things up. And started apologizing. Next she said…wait…so you don’t know I’m actually about 7 months pregnant. I was silent for a while. Didn’t know what to say. Eventually i said..wow…oh wow. This could go either ways. We can go with the flow or she can totally turn us down. I didn’t know what to say. Next thing she said was. “This is how the Lord works 🤣🤣🤣 I will do it”. I was both scared and excited so I promised we would keep it a big secret and only post the teaser after she had announced her baby. We got a nurse and a standby vehicle on set throughout and her husband @kolawoleajeyemi was so fantastic in helping her during the film (great guy). Toyin was such a delight to work with. She gave everything to make the pregnant character work. And when I mean everything I mean slams, falls and all. We were the ones worried even @_timini was concerned. She on the other hand was just having fun. Strong woman. She’s definitely on my top list of actors to always work with. Congratulations once again Toyin from the Elevatorbaby crew. Our baby is finally here.

Watch the teaser below.

Nollywood actress and producer, Toyin Abraham has reacted to the report that Nigerian entertainer, MC Galaxy allegedly asked ladies to strip and touch themselves intimately on his Instagram live video in order to win the sum of #50,000 cash prize.

Reacting to this act, Toyin Abraham spared no words in criticizing the singer while condemning the act. In a lengthy letter, she described what he did as despicable, debasing of women and urged him to be more like other celebs who focus on helping people.

She wrote:

“Dear MC Galaxy, what you did asking girls to go naked for 50k is despicable, debasing, and bad in every way. You just further strengthen the believe that the easiest way women can get things is to sell their bodies. I sincerely can’t fathom what you need or gain from this despicable act when you could have checked in on p*rn sites.”

“I am not trying to be a moral judge, I am the least qualified to judge a fellow human, but just the way you used your influence and platform for this woman-debasing act, I am also using mine to stand against an act ridiculing women and further prove that some men are scum. See what people like LindaIkeji, KemiAdetiba, Chimamanda, (Even your friend, LauraIkeji), and other women are doing with their platforms, they lift other women by living, giving and not asking for n*des.”

“You can as well follow examples of young men like Davido, TundeEdnut, Wizkid, and Banky W. My message to those girls that went naked on your page is this -please let’s do better, let’s stop making men like Mr. Galaxy think everything about women is money. Don’t sell yourself short because of 50k, its the least of the money you will make in your lifetime. We are women, we are powerful, we are not cheap. With love always, Toyin Abraham.”

Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham described people in this century as a generation that don’t want a real relationship, in a thought provoking IG post.

According to her, social media has taken over true bonding and it has caused a lack of sincerity, betrayals and depressions.

She posted this picture below to emphasize her point, in which she wrote:

“21st Century, the generation that doesn’t want real relationship. We want that social media relationship that everyone can like and comment on. True bonding are very hard now because, we now converse via DM, Ping, WhatsApp etc and epistle is our new way of expressing our feelings or appreciating people.

A lot of relationship has died because we now have better relationship with our phones than with people. We invest more time into our Instagram profile than we do with our lives. We celebrate our friends/family’s birthdays without knowing how the 365 days that lead up to them was.

Family meetings are now been held via Video calls and WhatsApp group conversations. People come to social media to write a long epistle for eachother, claiming WORLD’S BEST for them. When in actual sense, they know they are nothing close to COMMUNITY’S BEST and their intentions are not to filter them as good, but to impress social media audience.

There’s no relationship without social media anymore and that’s why relationships are no longer sincere; everything is now for the gram😥. We’ve forgotten that, the best thing to hold on to in life is eachother👭 and that’s one of the reasons why depression is getting common☹️.

We’ve built a wall around ourselves against our family and love ones. We share our burdens with riddles on social media instead of talking it out with someone. It has worsen to the extent that, someone about to commit suicide will take to Instagram story to write their suicide note.

I understand it’s hard to find a trustworthy person these days but you still have to trust someone! If you trust them and they betrayed your trust, then it’s not your problem anymore it’s theirs. Let them live the rest of their life with the burden of betrayal.

The best place to lean on is eachother’s shoulders. Don’t let social media steal your love ones from you cuz NOTHING CAN SAVE US FROM DEATH BUT LOVE COULD AT LEAST SAVE US FROM LIFE”.
