Nigerians have been ‘crucifying’ rapper, Falz, ever since he cautioned artistes to stop glorifying internet fraud ‘yahoo yahoo’ through their music. Well, Nigerian professional footballer, Asisat Oshoala, who plays as a forward in the Chinese Women’s Super league for Dalian Quanjian F.C., has taken to her Instagram page to express deep concern about how people are now proud to be fraudsters. In Falz’ defense, she insisted fraudsters shouldn’t be glorified. See her posts below;
Reality star, Kim Kardashian and her husband, Kanye West have reportedly agreed to use the services of a surrogate agency for a third child.
TMZ reports the couple took this decision because of Kim’s reported condition, placenta accreta which “occurs when the placenta attaches too deep in the uterine wall but it does not penetrate the uterine muscle.” It can be life-threatening when pregnant.
TMZ stated that the couple has agreed to pay monthly instalments of $4,500 for 10 months and an extra $5,000 for an additional child in case of more than one.
The agreement places all liabilities of birth abnormalities or defects on Kim and Kanye. This latest development comes after on a new episode of ”Keeping Up With The Kardashians”, the reality star tells her family that she intends to undergo a surgery on her uterus that would allow her get pregnant again.

During an interview with Abisola Alawode of Naij.com, the reigning Miss Nigeria, Chioma Obiadi, has this to say about the term ‘slay queen’;
”I do not know what the word slay queen means and one cannot support what you do not understand. The words slay queen is not in the dictionary. A lot of people may use the term without understanding what it means. I wouldn’t blush if someone addresses me as a slay queen that is not what I want to hear. Calling me that objectifies me so, I do not want to be addressed as such.”
On beauty queens being referred to as prostitutes?
”It makes me sad. But I think that is a stereotype beauty queens have had to deal with because most beauty pageants focus more on the beauty part. But with Miss Nigeria, it’s different. The beauty part is just 20% while the rest is about how intelligent you are.”
On domestic violence?
”Most people do not realize that men also undergo domestic violence. That said, my message to those being abused is that you should not stay until you are killed. Most times, it could be a financial issue that is causing the problem that’s why I think women need to be financially independent. I for one would not allow myself to be abused. I love myself too much to undergo such.”
Why Miss Nigeria doesn’t have a swimsuit category?
”Miss Nigeria doesn’t have a swimsuit category not because we want to paint other pageants bad, it’s because we need a queen to represent all parts of Nigeria. We have Muslims, Christians and other religions in this country so we need a queen that will appeal to all these groups. Life after Miss Nigeria Education is important to me and as such, I will be doing my masters immediately after my reign is over. I also want to be done with my PhD by the time I am 28.”

The song, which is titled “Yaro”, is an up-tempo celebration of love and commitment against all odds. It infuses Hausa and Krio dialects in honour of her Nigerian and Sierra Leonean roots.

Affiong Williams is the CEO of Reelfruit. ReelFruit is an emerging fruit processing company that is currently introducing a new snack into the Nigerian market; healthy and delicious dried fruit to cater to the growing number of health conscious consumers. It recently launched two new products into the market, and in process to set up processing factory for export of dried fruit.
Affiong has a Post graduate diploma in Business Administration from the University of Witwatersrand, and a BSc in Physiology, Psychology from the same university.
In 2012, she left her job as a manager at Endeavor South Africa, a small business incubator, moved back to Nigeria and founded Reelfruit. She started out from a flat in the Surulere area of Lagos, with $8,000 from savings and loans from friends and family.
ReelFruit produces dried fruit snacks such as Pineapple, Mango, Banana, PaPaya (Paw-Paw), Coconut and Fruit & Nut Mix with Cashews for the health-conscious Nigerian, and in 2016 alone, it sold 500,000 packs of snacks.
The products can be found in more than 80 outlets across Nigeria.
In September 2013, ReelFruit was placed first out of 700 applicants for Women in Business Challenge organised by BidNetowrk, Netherlands. The company won the 5000 Euro prize.
Three months later, it won Creative Focus Africa’s SME competition for businesses in Lagos.
She was named in Forbes Africa 2016 list of “30 under 30 African Entrepreneurs” who are the “billionaires of tomorrow who will create jobs and wealth for the continent.”
During an interview with Africa news.com, she said;
“Well, I was actually attracted to the sector for a number of reasons. Firstly, I believe there is untapped opportunity in processing and value addition of raw materials and I also believe it’s a very budding sector, there is a lot of opportunity as well as the job creation which I think is quite important to me as an entrepreneur”
Domestic violence victim, Ivie Edobor, who lost her right leg after she was brutally attacked by her husband, John Edobor and his thugs in Lagos,took to her Facebook page to share testimony and photos of her a year after the incident. Her bones was badly crushed and she is currently on crutches with iron bars inside the legs to aid support.
She wrote;
”It’s been 1year since the terrible incident that took my right leg. I’m grateful to God for sparing my life that night. Yes, the perpetrator is still at large after jumping bail and fleeing the country to America with his mistress even with court case still on but one thing is sure, I am strong, I am happy, I am free, I have the love of my beautiful angels and most importantly, I AM A SURVIVOR. This is my life after DV. My God is awesome.”
