Nollywood actress/producer and mother of three handsome boys, Omoni Oboli has shared secret tips on how she has managed to maintain flat abs and a toned body.

She revealed that she didn’t snap back to her slim figure immediately after the birth of her boys but had to work hard to get her figure back.

So, she shared the secrets to her flat abs, noting that they were the things she did over the years.

Read her post below:

My secret to flat abs:
I did a smoothie only diet for 4 days and lost some weight and my stomach got a lot flatter in the process. Following that, for now, I have just one meal a day around lunch time. I have my tea and smoothie for breakfast, I can either have smoothie again for dinner or just have some carrots or apples with a handful of nuts.
These are some of the things I have done over the years to get back my pre child bearing abs…
The first thing is discipline!

1: First thing I drink when I wake up in the morning is a glass of warm water with lemon. (I always squeeze the juice of my lemon in my tea or water before throwing it in. Who else does that? 🤣)

2: My green tea: I have my green tea every morning. I squeeze in some lemon or lime, add 2 spoonfuls of Apple cider vinegar (with the mother in it) and some ginger juice. You can add some honey (honey is actually beneficial to the body)

3: I don’t eat as much carbs as a lot if you think I do. The people around me will testify to that. There are times that I am bad and I go on a carbs spree but I caution myself early and make restitutions.

4: I try never to eat carbs at night. Carbs make you bloat in the morning so stay away from them at night. Long and continuous consumption of carbs at night will lead to an extended stomach.

5: I use vegetables and some nut flours to make swallow. (I like my soups and I don’t like just licking them) So I make almond swallow, cauliflower, cabbage, egg plant or even carrot swallow. See next post for video on how to make one of them.

6: I drink lots of water and fresh juices. Carrot juice is particularly good for the skin. I mix it with ginger and celery (most times).

7: I drink other types of tea during the day apart from green tea. Some of my favorites are mint, rooibos tea and camomile at night.

8: Exercise is very important not just for weight loss but for your health and general well being so don’t forget to exercise but 80% of weight loss or staying trim is done in your kitchen!

I would tell you the benefits of these foods and drinks I take but the post will be too long so google is your friend 😉
I will share more tips with you another time.
You’re welcome 🙏

marketplace? Some would say it takes more than just talent to be noticed.
Multi-talented Toni Tones is not just being noticed. She is being
remembered.

Born Gbemi Anthonia Adefuye, Toni Tones is a triple-threat force to be
reckoned with: She is an actress, singer, and award-winning photographer whose influence in the Nigerian entertainment industry has become undeniable.

Her role in the box office hit ‘King Of boys’ directed by Kemi Adetiba brought Toni Tones critical acclaim. Her electrifying performances in top
productions have positioned her as one of the most sought after A-list
actors in Nollywood today.

On the road to success, Toni Tones has faced and overcome challenges. In an in-depth interview with The Nation’s Flair Magazine, she speaks about this, and more.

See excerpts from the interview below:

What was it like at the beginning?

I started my career as a photographer and because of that, it was quite a challenge getting people to take me seriously as an artist and as an actor, at first. At some point, I began to wish I had never started with photography at all, because then I wouldn’t have to fight the tough battle of gaining acceptance, I would just have been able to go straight to building a fan base.  Some OAPs simply wouldn’t play my music because they didn’t take me seriously. It took a lot of hard work, persistence and determination before I was finally accepted in the industry. There were
times that I wanted to give up but I am exceedingly happy I didn’t.

What are some of the challenges you have encountered?

It was tough being accepted as an actor because people knew me as a
photographer and after then, a musician. Hearing that I was an actor as well, I think it was hard for them to take me seriously initially. A lot of people probably assumed I was just playing around as opposed to chasing my dreams. It seemed like having more than one career was looked upon as a bit of a crime; people tend to put you in a box. They know you for one thing and that is what they choose to be comfortable with and when you try
to break out of that box, there’s a lot of opposition. But I am not here to make anybody comfortable, I am here to achieve every single goal that my heart desires and achieve I will.

How do you cope with them?

I was determined not to be put in a box. I was determined to excel at
every single passion I had chosen to pursue. Sometimes, I would ask God why He didn’t just give me one passion so it would have been easier, but I remember praying one day and hearing a voice within me say, “if God has given you many skills, it is meant as a blessing, not a curse.” That put things in perspective for me.  I made a vow never to relent, to give everything I had, to show God I appreciated every skill he had gifted me and I would honour Him by using them. Successful or not, at least I would
know I tried. Being able to actually do the things I love is already
success to me, because for so long I was afraid to even try. I am glad I never gave up, otherwise I would not be living such a fulfilled life now.

A woman is a person,” Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe-Etim writes in an Instagram post, letting everyone know womanhood is not contingent of motherhood.

Not all women will be mothers, she shared, some because they are unable to and others because they don’t want to. This doesn’t make them any less of a woman, she shared.

A woman is a person. A person who can decide what she wants to do with her body or her time.

So, it is extremely ignorant to expect all women to eventually be mothers.

There are many reasons why a woman may not have children.

Infertility is more common than we know and to immediately ask a woman why she doesn’t have a child is extremely insensitive.

There are also women who have chosen to not have children simply because they will not put their bodies through pregnancy. They simply do not want to have kids and this is perfectly okay.

Whatever a woman decides to do – to have babies or to not; or whether they are battling infertility is no one’s business.

Happiness is all that matters. Gratefully, it is absolutely free.

My prayer and hope is that one day we will not judge unfairly unmarried or childless women.

That being said, if children will make you happy, I pray that you have loads of them.

If you do not want or cannot have kids, remember that you can still find joy and do not allow anybody make you feel less.

Enjoy life. Breathe freely and enjoy all the beauty in the world.

For me, love and light are the truth and all I ever want is to live in happiness and pure truth.

The actress who is now based in the United States of America, lectured fans on the pros and con of cosmetic surgery via her Instagram page on Thursday, November 15, 2018.

She said it is not a bad idea for any woman to carry out a corrective surgery after a post-traumatic event but it has consequences when done at quack medical institutions.

“Warning to all my sisters crazy about big butts. While you contemplate having that waist, breast, and buttocks snatching. Be careful! There is nothing wrong in a woman’s decision to enhance her beauty either post-pregnancy, post-traumatic event or to correct some deficiencies. While you make these decisions consult with the best, weigh the side effects and the long-term consequences. Any idiot can set up a surgical center, have you done your due diligence by checking if these folks are board certified? If they have liability insurance In case anything goes wrong?
