As a young lady, I watched a relation of mine heal quickly from a gunshot injury because she was placed on a fruit and vegetable diet after being discharged from the hospital. My father is a professor of Botany; there were times he discussed plants with me. These are the things that gave me a burning passion to let people know the benefits of eating natural diets and the use of herbs to treat ailments.
By putting man in the garden of Eden after creation, God seemed to be passing a message on the right kind of diet for mankind. However, it is so unfortunate that man has always been rebellious by not eating all these God-given foods and this is why  a lot of people are sick.
God has always been concerned about man’s health and this is why He left us a great clue as to what food helps what part of the human body. This is called doctrine of signatures.
Doctrine of signatures states that herbs resembling various parts of the body  can be used to treat ailments of these body parts . For example, the avocado pear is the shape of a woman’s womb and from the time it is planted to the time it ripens, it takes nine months! If you cut a carrot into two, the layers on the carrot are exactly the layers on our eyes The kidney beans is shaped like the human kidney .
I have seen a lot of wonders in nature: women with polycystic ovarian syndrome had their menses induced naturally; I have read stories of people who refused chemotherapy and got healed of their cancers by sticking to natural diets; I was there when a young boy was intoxicated with alcohol and locust beans (iru) came to the rescue; I used to have ulcer – I was given loads of antibiotics, but I got no relief until I tried nature!
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying people should not visit their doctors. After all, we have all done it wrong-diet-wise  all our lives and a lot of us are sick and even on prescription drugs. All I am saying is that eating the right diet has a profound effect on our general well-being.
A lot of references have been made to the benefits of eating natural diets: Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, said “leave your drugs in the chemist’s pot if you can heal the patient with food”. He also said “let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. Hippocrates favoured the use of food in treating patients.  Thomas Edison also said “the doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs but rather will cure and prevent diseases with nutrition”.
One good thing about all these natural foods are that they  heal our body; infact, they have the same effect as the drugs we take. No wonder Dr Pfeiffer said “for every drug that benefits a patient, there is a natural substance that can achieve the same effect”. For example, strawberries have the ability to block pain receptors in the body the same way aspirin does .
Concerning the use of herbs to treat ailments, a lot of people think it is fetish. This is a wrong mindset! God created all the herbs for man (Genesis 1 verse 29 and Psalm 104 verse  14). You can use herbs to treat ailments without chanting incantations!
You are probably on medications for an ailment for a long time now and you have not seen improvements in your health. Why don’t you try eating right? Eat more fruits and vegetables and reduce your processed foods intake. Remember, there were no cakes, doughnuts, sausages and bottles of cokes in the garden of Eden when God put man there!
On this platform, I shall be discussing fruits, vegetables and their health benefits. I shall be talking about the lifestyle changes we need to make to stay healthy too. After all, health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not the absence of disease or infirmity.
Though man was chased out of Eden, I would like you to join me in this quest to create another  Eden for ourselves!

The Rwandan government has placed a ban on cosmetic products used for lightening the skin.

“Love the skin you’re in”, is the message from Rwanda’s government in the fight against skin lightening products, reports eNCA.

Francois Uwinkindi of Rwanda’s Ministry of Health Cancer Unit said, “We are now putting more effort into educating people, going around and seizing those illegal products. We are joining those countries who are also in this fight against the use of those illegal skin-lightening cosmetics”.

Rwandan president, Paul Kagame, had earlier raised concerns about the growing use of skin-lightening products on social media.

On his verified Twitter handle last year, Rwanda had reacted to a call for the banning of the skin lightening products by tweeting, “Quite unhealthy among other things. Includes use of prohibited chemicals. MoH and RNP need to reign this in very quickly!”

It was reported that police in the country have already started confiscating thousands of products since the closing weeks of 2018.

But many users are not happy with this move. They say they have every right to choose the way they wish to look.

Many African countries have banned skin lightening products, but laws aren’t enforced and skin-whitening creams and soaps flood the markets in several African countries like Ghana, South Africa, Mali, Nigeria, etc.

Singer R. Kelly has come under investigation following the “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary series by Lifetime.

The documentary, which has sparked renewed interest in the allegations of abuse and running a sex cult against the singer, contains interviews from his alleged victims and families of girls still living with him.

Guardian reports that Chicago prosecutor Kimberly Foxx has urged potential victims of the singer to come forward and report their abuse.

There’s nothing that can be done to investigate these allegations without the cooperation of both victims and witnesses. We cannot seek justice without you.

The singer has long since dodged conviction, getting acquited of charges of child pornography back in 2008.

The allegations of different forms of sex abuse have long since existed, as he was accused of allegedly illegally marrying the late singer Aaliyah.

I want us to talk about 5 brand stories you should be sharing with your audience. There are 5 types of stories your brand should be sharing:

Your personal story

If you want to start a conversation with a stranger, you do one of two things:

Introduce yourself briefly and ask about the other person

Find common interests and instantly bond based on shared interests.

None of the strategies is wrong, you can employ both.

The important thing is you make sure to share parts of your personal story that resonates with your audience.

Your self-awareness story

This is keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey

You didn’t just wake up and decide to start the niche business that you are currently working on.

Even if you’re still finding clarity about what you want to do, you can share the different insights you’ve gotten from your self-introspection.

Your growth story

As you get more aware of yourself and you grow, you need to find out what periods in your life you experienced tangible growth (in your mind, capacity or results).

Journal all these experiences and use them as often as you can in your brand stories, as long as your audience can relate to them.

Your result-oriented story.

This is the part a lot of us jump right on to.

It’s not a very effective strategy.

The saying holds through, ‘’I don’t care how much you know until I know how much you care’’.

Hence, you communicate your results-based story with EMPATHY.

Communicate with a shared sense of understanding of the problem and struggles of your audience and how your growth journey and key milestones achieved qualifies you as a guide to help them on their own journey.

Make it all about them.

Never about you.

You’re the guide remember?

Empower your hero to stay in the spotlight. Be the guide.

Your movement story

This is when your storytelling gets interesting.

You have gotten the attention and trust of your hero and you’ve shared your journey: struggles, failures, milestones, successes and how that qualifies you as a guide.

Now, you have to CLEARLY communicate the journey you are taking the hero on and how you will take him on that journey.

Introduce your movement and trigger curiosity, interest, and excitement.

Find other heroes and introduce them too to your movement.

Lead your tribe.

Nigeria beat the likes of Cameroon, Ghana, Mali and South Africa to win the award for the fourth time since its inception in 2010.

The win comes after the Super Falcons conquered Africa once again to win the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations(AWCON) title for a ninth time.

Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby lost out on the Women’s Coach of the Year to Desiree Ellis of South Africa who led the Bafana Bafana to the final of the AWCON 2018 where they lost on penalties to Nigeria.

In Youth Player of the Year category, Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi was beaten by Moroccan and Borussia Dortmund defender Achraf Hakimi who is on loan from Real Madrid.

R. Kelly is reportedly set to tell his side of the story after Lifetime’s docuseries ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ aired.
