Citing her failed marriage as an example, the 55-year-old beautiful actress in an exclusive interview with Plus TV Africa, said

“No Parent should put pressure on their kids to marry, it is better to be late than to marry early and choose wrong. That was part of what happened to me, I was under pressure to marry and things eventually didn’t turn out right”

The actress who admits being single and searching for the right man further said

“When you rush to do things because you are ageing or because your mates are doing it, it might be your doom so just live your life and wait till it is the right time. I am waiting on God’s time before I get married again, to avoid making another mistake”

Toyin Abraham’s manager has slammed Adeniyi Johnson over his divorce papers claims. He had revealed that Toyin refused to sign the divorce papers and let him go.

Toyin’s publicist, Samuel Olatunji, responded to Adeniyi’s allegation.

In an open letter posted on his Instagram page, Olatunji wrote;

“Dear Niyi Johnson, I’m forced to respond to you here because you mentioned my name,so I will be returning the favour. In all my years of dealing with the entertainment industry, I carefully avoid the drama that goes with the terrain. And this includes years of dealing with big brands.

Some of these brands have warned me to avoid some people from the Yoruba industry because of the attendant, unnecessary drama and here you are proving them right and giving the noble Yoruba industry bad name. You have my number, you have the number of the lawyer, and I believe you have Toyin’s number as well. This unnecessary call for attention and social media shenanigans are unnecessary.

You see why people don’t dignify your ilk with phone calls, sms or courtesy, it always end on social media. People are doing great things in real life not Instagram drama.

Two, a simple call to your lawyer would tell you that what Lawyer Bosun called you for is the beginning of trial (court proceedings) not to come and sign divorce papers. Divorce doesn’t work like that. Three, if you depserately want a divorce, you should have filed one not Toyin; perhaps the over 1m naira cost deterred you.

Toyin, chose to bear the cost, pay her lawyer the fee and has taken the case to a considerable point. She has shown more commitment to the divorce proceedings than you. In more than three years of separation you just filed a ‘cross petition’ last month while she has been at it in the court for over a year.

She has ‘allowed you go’ a long time and we all can see what that has done to her life and career. Please come down from your Instagram high horse, real court issues happen outside of social media. She changed lawyer and he has moved faster than we anticipated. It was out of courtesy that I called you to ask for your address. I told you I’d call for if there is any new development.

And a piece of advise from me, you need to stop using your past relationship to generate talkability, you have talents and new relationship, they should be enough. That is what you should focus on; stop focusing on what you don’t have, what you have should be enough. Selah! Today”

Nollywood actress, Linda Ejiofor who recently got married to fellow screen star, Ibrahim Suleiman over the weekend has revealed how she met and fell in love with Ibrahim Suleiman, her husband.

According to her, they had been friends for years before they decided to take the relationship to a next level after sharing a closer relationship on the set of Tinsel in 2016.

In her words;

“Ibrahim and I have been friends for a few years now, but it was not until after his mum passed away in June 2016 that we really started to bond. He was in a really dark place and was ready to throw in the towel and move back to Abuja so he could be closer to his siblings.

I (along with a few members of his inner circle) was able to convince him to stay in Lagos.He accepted a job as an Architect with a design and build firm, while working towards his first solo exhibition as an artist.

In November 2016, I, Harry Dorgu, and Adesua Wellington talked him into showing up for a reading for a role on Africa Magic’s TINSEL. Prior to this, he had never acted a scene in his life, so it was quite a coin toss for him.

The audition went well and he landed the role of Damini White, a character who is Bimpe Adekoya’s boss who becomes her onscreen lover.Over the next 13 months, we had to see each other on set 3-5 times a week and then our friendship grew stronger.

Ibrahim developed feelings soon after but was hesitant as he didn’t want to risk losing me as his closest friend if the relationship didn’t work out.

Eventually, he squared up and told me how he felt. Turns out the feeling was mutual and we both started dating quietly, with only their siblings, very close friends and a couple of colleagues in the know”.
