Overcoming Challenges with Academic Tenacity

Throughout her treatment, Aya’s unwavering commitment to her studies never wavered. Her mother ensured that she had access to a laptop in the hospital, allowing her to stay connected with her educational pursuits. Even while medical professionals monitored her progress, Aya diligently maintained her International Baccalaureate schedule, pouring herself into her studies despite the physical limitations and distractions.

A Remarkable Achievement

Aya’s dedication and perseverance yielded remarkable results as she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ridgeview High School, boasting an exceptional 4.77 GPA. Her outstanding academic achievements earned her a well-deserved scholarship to NYU, with the support of the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, an organization committed to providing financial and emotional support to children battling cancer.
