Arowora Fausat Omolabake popularly known as Olayinkaadukeade is a page poet and a spoken word poet. She writes poems and articles, she composes texts and contents. She’s also a model.

Fausat is a third year student of OOU, studying political science. She is the emeritus Assistant General Secretary of her department and the current Vice President. She is a public speaker, she does skits online too all of which can be found on her IG page-@IamOlayinkaadukeade

1. Let’s meet you. Who is Fausat?

I’m Arowora Fausat by name popularly known as IamOlayinkaadukeade

2. What are your hobbies?

Writing to impact lives, taking pictures when I’m bored, meeting new friends and of course looking good always.

3. Who and what inspires you?

That’s quite a deep question! Well, my story does. My mom does also, taking a look at where God has taken our life story and all, it gives me much more inspiration never to stop soon until I get to the top.

4. What is your biggest fear?

My biggest fear in life is becoming all I ever despise, not living a life of impact and surely not seeing my dreams come true.

5. You are the emeritus Assistant General Secretary of the department and the current Vice President. What prompted you to go into politics?

(Smiles) Ever since I was a teen I’ve resolved to go into politics and probably the legal profession, my mom’s life story is a great push of that desire, so I decided to start from the scratch which is going into school politics as we all know the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step.

6. Your best quote?

God knows best and never stops being good.

A sample of Arowora Fausat’s poem

7. You are a poet and content writer. What do your works border on and how have you been able to impact knowledge to the masses with your writing skills?

My works are mainly centered on improving lives for the better. I’m glad God has used me severally as a catalyst of positive change in the lives of many. I get calls and messages daily from different people across the country telling me how much they are blessed to be a fan of my works, that’s a great encouragement. My works are embedded on the thoughts of giving hope to the hopeless and being the voice of the voiceless knowing fully well whatever situation they are passing through will surely end in praise.

8. Mention three women who inspire you to be better and why

Number 1 is my mother, she’s been through a lot for the sake of her children. I have watched her starve to feed us, too many countless reasons. Number 2 is the homeless but not hopeless, I feel a lot for the less-privileged. I’ve never been there but I know what it feels to be one, this is what prompted me to write on “Street Litters Can Shine” which I’d be releasing very soon.
Number 3 is all successful women on earth, they inspire me a lot as I never stopped aspiring to be like them, seeing them makes me affirm I can do it too. They have been my greatest inspiration. I’m working on a piece titled “The Future Is Female” it will drop very soon too.

9. If given the chance to be the President of Nigeria for a day, what will you change?

The sentiment that a female can’t be a catalytic tool of bringing our dear nation to her promised land. Females can do better! The future is female.

10. You recently ventured into entrepreneurship by monetizing your writing skills and also introducing word frames for special occasions. What inspired that? Any challenges so far?

As soon as I came to the realization of my God-given talent, I’ve been using it to help humanity in my own little way. I’ve got friends who look up to me when it comes to composing birthday texts for them and their loved ones all of which I don’t charge a dime. Looking at this economy, one must find a means of survival. I woke up one day with the thought of how to monetize my talent without jeopardizing the main aim of it – to bless lives, so I came up with the thought of doing “FramePoems” where I compose sweet texts alongside pictures since photo frames is the trending thing in vogue and bless God I have been making quite a handful from it, half bread they say is better than none.

11. How are you able to manage your time with your studies and other activities you’re involved with?

It’s been God always and my dedicated mindset of not mixing my social life with my academic life. Out of no time, I shuffle everything and here we are, it’s been going fine.

12. Where do you see yourself and your brand in the next 5 years?

I see myself and my brand going places! I see myself as a world-class celebrated public figure and an emulated celebrity. I pray I get better with my writings too, being the future Soyinka isn’t a bad idea you know, a renowned Nobel Laureate. By then, I should be able to tell my success story to the world with tears of joy knowing fully well my dreams have come true.

13. If you were given the opportunity to address a group of girls five years younger than you, what will be your advice to them?

Never say never! Disappointments are there to make you stronger. Failure is there to teach you to prepare harder. Don’t you ever settle for less! Keep fighting and never give up. The world is waiting to celebrate and listen to your success story.
Thanks for having me.

ADEMILUYI Favour Titilope is currently a 300 level student of the prestigious Faculty of Law, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

Growing up as a litterateur and debater, she has had modest achievements, awards and scholarship trip outside the country.

Over time, Favour has held several positions and is currently the Assistant P.R.O & Assistant General Secretary, CLASFON, OOU; the Deputy Information-Technologist, Legal Magnates & Company, OOU; the Financial Secretary and Assistant General Secretary, Infinity Foundation, OOU, among others.

1. Let’s meet you. Who is Favour?

Warm greetings. *ADEMILUYI FAVOUR* is God’s Noble Progeny, who is fully awake to and heading forward, in the actualization and manifestation of her true being and essence.

She is phenomenal, resourceful, and “Excellence-driven.”

2. Who and what inspires you?

1. My purpose, visions which are birthed by the Holy Spirit, a product of God’s will.

2. My Dad – He is an exemplary leader; a perfect description of humility, integrity, service and excellence.

3. You have been outside the country on a scholarship trip on two different occasions for being the best French student in your secondary school. Which countries are these? And how was your experience?

Quite funny! Although I was given a scholarship trip precisely to Togo on 2 different occasions for being the best French Student in Secondary School 2 & 3 respectively, I couldn’t embark on the journey.

For the first scholarship trip, my parents didn’t allow me go, for reasons best known to them.

For the second scholarship trip, although I had my valid passport and yellow card, I couldn’t embark on the journey as the trip clashed with a National Debate Competition at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife. ‘Being the debater that I am’, I chose the competition over the trip.

To God be the glory, I and my team emerged winners. I was the Chief Speaker for my school in the Debate competition, and I was awarded the Most Eloquent Speaker. Consequently, we (I and my team) were to be invited to Botswana for another competition, but this sadly didn’t see the light of the day.

However, my Dad surprisingly arranged another trip for me to Porto-Novo, while I was waiting for OOU’s Post UTME result to be out. It was a 1-3 month(s) study trip alongside some 300 level Nigerian Undergraduates (who were French students).

It was a remarkable experience. I was opportune to visit Le Temple du Python in Ouidah; Le Muséum Nationale, the ‘Sea of No Return’ et. al.

More importantly, I won the First Prize in the “BAIN LINGUISTIQUE EN FRANÇAIS” PROGRAMME (2017), and I was accordingly recognized by Le Président (the Vice Chancellor), INSTITUT UNIVERSITAIRE PANAFRICAIN (IUP), PORTO-NOVO.

4. Your best quote?

“You were born to stand out, stop trying to fit in,”
Roy T. Bennett.

5. How was growing up like for you? Did your upbringing contribute in anyway to who you are today and positions you hold?

I grew up in the soil of unconditional love and selflessness. I was (and is still) surrounded with hugs, motivation and unshakable faith in me from my parents. My Dad has always been my Special Friend, and my mum has always been my Superheroine. They have always been there for me.

Although not without hurdles, my upbringing has been an exclusive mix of grace and bliss. This has had a massive impact on me; I have grown to believe that I can do and achieve anything I set my heart to do and achieve.

Also, my Dad, who happens to be one of my mentors, has groomed and is still grooming me to an enviable stage. I grew up attending meetings with eminent Personalities, dining with Professors & Vice Chancellors, sampling and proof reading Ph.D thesis. I grew up interacting and working with great minds. This has indeed awaken the consciousness of responsibility and invoked the spirit of leadership in me.

6. You have held several positions and have never disappointed in blazing the trail right from childhood. You are currently the Assistant P.R.O & Assistant General Secretary, CLASFON, OOU; the Deputy Information-Technologist, Legal Magnates & Company, OOU; the Financial Secretary and Assistant General Secretary, Infinity Foundation, OOU, among others. How do you juggle all of these offices with the demands of studying Law?

Truthfully, although it has not been so smooth, it has been God all the way.

The key is discipline, as it requires a big sacrifice on my part. I endeavour to prioritize, set and stick to routines.

I have no doubt that there are more responsibilities coming my way. This will definitely require more balance; I’m always trusting God to perfect this delicate balance.

7. Mention 3 Women who inspire you and why

The world is full of inspiring women, and I consider myself so lucky to be inspired by the following women:
1. My invaluable mother – Victoria O. Ademiluyi
2.Mother-in-Israel, RCCG – Pst Mrs Foluke A. Adeboye
3. Former First Lady, United States of America – Michelle Obama

1. I grew up watching a live superheroine, whose unique nature constantly inspires me. My invaluable mother is a beacon of resilience, who has overtime instilled in me and my siblings a hard work ethic, and has motivated us to grow without barriers.

Leading by example, my mother repeatedly emphasizes the need to uphold the values of dignity, integrity and service. Victoria O. Ademiluyi is a blessing to me and the world at large; she is exceptional and phenomenal in every aspect.

2. Being a woman of virtue, Pastor Mrs Foluke Adenike Adeboye has continually inspired me and many others. Her calm and warm personality, alongside her sterling leadership qualities even as a real spiritual mother, who has the love of God, is indeed at the heart of some really inspiring lessons for all.

3. The graceful personality of Michelle Obama often leaves me completely enamoured. She is an iconic fashionista whose intelligence, grace, values, beliefs and leadership qualities infuse lives and set an example of how an ideal lady should be.

Her contagious positivity constantly inspires me and many others to prioritize self-care, use our voices for change, and be ourselves – unapologetically.

8. One thing you will like to change about yourself.

Honestly, I don’t want to change myself. I have grown to embrace who I am and to love myself unconditionally.

I simply want to grow and improve myself, even in my originality. I simply want to change my flawed actions, even in my originality.

Just like Mark Manson said, “Trying to change yourself—that is, who you are—will inevitably lead you to fail and feel hopeless. But if you instead focus on changing your actions without worrying about how it changes you as a person, real change becomes much simpler.”

9. If given the chance to be the President of Nigeria for a day, what will you change?

I most humbly will adopt the recommendation given by my Dad during his Inaugural Lecture on 10th March, 2020.

I will ensure to establish a National Planning agency which will redirect Nigeria’s development agenda from a ‘project basket approach’ to development. This will create something more comprehensive which will focus on correcting the social and spatial imbalances/inequalities that have sunk the majority of Nigerians into poverty.

The idea is to redesign Nigeria to amplify the linkages within the political and economic structures, as well as redesigning the polity to dismantle the colonial heritage of inequalities which have hitherto negatively affected the development of Nigeria (Ademiluyi, 2020).

10. What keeps you up at night?

The zeal to make landmark impacts, reform lives and transform the world positively. The zeal to fully live, express and manifest my true being and essence. The zeal to implement and fulfil my visions, my purpose; all these keep me up at night.

11. You have a great penchant for research, writing, public speaking and linguistics. You also represent OOU’S Literary and Debating Society in competitions and events. How do you prepare and develop yourself for these activities?

I simply toil upward in the night.

Just like Henry Wadsworth Longfellow POET said, “The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.”

12. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

By God’s grace, if He tarries, in the next 5 years, I see myself as a Ph.D student.

I also see myself fulfilling purpose and making the world a better place.

I see myself maintaining a stronger bond with God.

13. If you were given the opportunity to address a group of girls five years younger than you, what will be your advice to them?

If I was opportune to address a group of girls five years younger than I am, my advice will go thus:
“You are who you are, and there is no one else like you. Each person is a unique magnificent being. Do not be your illusory self. Accept yourself for who you truly are, and truly connect with your individual authentic self. Celebrate your essence. With sheer openness and in genuineness of your authentic expression, work from within – that is, from inside-out. To compromise the integrity of your individual authentic self is to falter in the face of mediocrity and conformity.”

Nwagbara Jessica, the last child in a family of four is a graduate of English and literary studies/History and international relations, from University of Nigeria.

Jessica loves looking good because it is a good business. She has a flair for fashion and makeup and intends to have a fashion outfit and makeup line someday.

My name is Nwagbara Jessica, a graduate of English and literary studies/History and international relations, from University of Nigeria.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy hanging out with few friends, traveling, playing games and reading, sleeping inclusive.

 Who and what inspires you?

As a result of my desire to delve into the fashion industry, I love the likes of Toyin Lawani, her fashion sense is topnotch and most of her designs are great. Then, Funke Akindele Bello is one person I respect so much, she is hard working and creating jobs for young actors.

What is your biggest fear?

Being poor.

You’re a graduate from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Was your course what you applied for initially? How was your undergraduate days and how has it shaped who you are presently?

Growing up, I never wanted to go to school. Wanted to go to a fashion school but my dad declined. I applied for Law, cutoff mark for 2015 was super high, I ended up shopping to combined Arts then I got it. Was given Theater and Film Studies\English, as a result of being a shy girl while growing up, I opted for English/History.
It wasn’t easy combining as a result of different courses clashing, then lecturers who felt students who combined were dummies because most people who combined didn’t apply for the course as their first choice.
It made me strong because right now I can multi task.

One accessory you can’t leave home without.

My glasses.

Your best quote

Happiness is free.

You have a flair for fashion, according to you, “looking good is good business”. Any pursuit of it at the moment or plans to soonest?

During service, I got to take part time courses in it. Reached out to a couple of designers, Tiannahs Empire and Nikkito Couture.

What keeps you up at night?

Fear of poverty and failing, drive for excellence at what I do.

If given the chance to be the President of Nigeria for a day, what will you change?

I will change all leaders at the helms of affairs and bring in vibrants youths who are vision driven to make our country great. At least 60% of our youths will be given jobs.

Country or city you’ll love to visit soonest?

Bora Bora.

You are into makeup for fun at the moment. Any plans to turn this skill into business?

Yes and I have my makeup line too.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Owning my own makeup line, giving a little to my community and making the world a better place using fashion as a tool.

If you were given the opportunity to address a group of girls five years younger than you, what will be your advice to them.

Be focused GIRL.
Your dreams are valid, anything you’ve set your mind to do, you can do it.

*2. What are your hobbies?*

Well, I love reading great books, listening to people, planning, eating and yes sleeping if that’s an hobby (laughs).

*3. Who and what inspires you?*

I would say God because I’m still in awe of him. The kind of love he showers on us despite all our imperfections sometimes leaves me shocked and confused.

Also I’m inspired by everyone who despite the odds are still sane and manage to be successful.

*4. What is your biggest fear?*

Having regrets. Waking up everyday and realizing I could have achieved something but I didn’t maybe because I didn’t put in enough efforts. I have been there before, it’s a place I don’t want to be again.

Blessing Adekoya

*5. You’re the Vice President 1 of Junior Chamber International, one of the top leading organizations of youths not just in Nigeria but all over the world. It is mostly conceived as an organization of Law students alone. How true is this? How has its membership helped you as a person and what can you say about opportunities the organization present or has presented to young citizens?*

Junior Chamber International is a non governmental organization of youths between ages 18-40. It is mostly conceived as an organization for law students because of the ‘Chamber’ in it’s name but it’s for all youths not law students alone.

JCI has helped in my self development. It has helped with getting rid of my shyness as I can address a large audience now , JCI has broaden my mindset and most importantly taught me that “Service to humanity is the best work of life”

JCI has a lot of opportunities to offer young citizens; Individual, Business, Community and International opportunities.

*6. One accessory you can’t leave home without.*

A big smile on my face.

*7. Your best quote*

Your Abnormal will be the new normal.

*8. You are the CEO of Scenty Scents. What prompted it? And what has been the major challenge so far?*

Actually it was prompted by the need to have more. I didn’t want to rely on allowances from my parents alone so I started the brand. I’m glad I did because it meet needs in a way, helping people’s personal hygiene and boosting their self confidence.

My major challenge so far is the stress of being an entrepreneur, there is a lot more to it than it meets the eye.

*8. What keeps you up at night?*

Being nocturnal, I work better with the quiet. I do house chores, read books, learn new things and surf the internet.

*9. If given the chance to be the President of Nigeria for a day, what will you change?*

The Police Force. There is so much to be looked into in that aspect.

*10. Country or city you’ll love to visit soonest?*

Dubai

*11. You are a member of TAG Leaders’ Hub(Next Elites). What is its aim? Any activity or programme you have been able to achieve through it?*

The essence of the creation of The Next Elites is to create a group of individuals who are Godly first and then, captains of industries or high government office holders who would help re-align the country and the world towards the proper functionality they should be at.

There is a lot to be achieved this year based on strict monitoring. Our thinking horizon by books we have been exposed to, financial, health, religious, relationship goals are being achieved.

*12. Where do you see yourself and your brand in the next 5 years?*

The name ‘Blessing Adekoya’ will be known for being a young lady with the difference. My brand will become bigger and better by God’s grace!

*13. If you were given the opportunity to address a group of girls five years younger than you, what will be your advice to them?*

You need to get out of your comfort zone. Stretch yourself. Try out things that would propel you to fulfilling your destiny. It doesn’t hurt to try. You can’t afford to settle for what you think is safe.

Everyone has the ability to be a winner. The fact that you fail some challenges doesn’t make you a failure, it’s only an opportunity to prepare better for the next challenge and tap into unseen potentials inside of you.

She runs a multi unit enterprise – Her Domain Creations(HDC), that offers these services.

1.Let’s meet you. Who is Dennis Christiana?
I am Dennis Christiana Chiamaka, born 20 years ago in Abia state, Nigeria. I am a student of Abia State University, Uturu studying Medicine and surgery, a Christian and a volunteer.

I am a google certified digital marketing strategist, coach and trainer, a videographer, a copywriter, a storyteller, a content creator and a movil consult certified graphics designer. I also train other people on the above digital skills. Oh, I’m a bead maker/beaded jewelry designer too, I also have a non-digital skill.

I show individuals how to make active income using their smartphone and working professionals how to make passive income using their smartphone.

I run a multi unit enterprise – Her Domain Creations(HDC), that offers these services.
You can visit my social media pages @christiana_makky and @herdomaincreations on Instagram and Dennis Christiana on Facebook.

2. Who and what inspires you?
I get inspired by my dad a lot. Then, there are some young ladies in Nigeria who are making waves and still supporting each other(women supporting women) that inspire me. Women like Bestie Atti, Grace Ihejiamazu and Laiza King. I met Ijeoma Ndukwe(@nwanyiakamu_global on IG) not too long ago and that woman is a great source of inspiration to me too.

3. Your biggest fear?
I actually have 2 big fears. The first one is the fear of rejection and second one is the fear of disappointing my parents.

4.You are a google certified digital marketing strategist, videographer, copywriter, storyteller, content creator, movil consult certified graphics designer, CEO Her Domain Creations..What motivated you to go for all these skills? Where there any fear initially? If yes how did you overcome them?
My main motivation at first was the quest for independence, financial independence but as soon as I started, I discovered other things that motivated me. Along the way, I started seeking relevance, you know, I always want to have something to bring to the table, I want to be a person of value. To be honest, I’m not done yet because I still have so many skills(digital and physical) I would love to learn. I’ll definitely attain mastery in one or two of them but I intend to keep going for more, making myself a better person daily.
The fear of rejection as I said earlier is one of my biggest fears, I also have the fear of failure once in a while, the fear and feeling of not being enough. I overcame and is still overcoming these fears by staying around positive people who talk me out of these fears and into faith and strong convictions. As a Christian, my Bible helps me a lot whenever the fear of failure creeps in. I also have affirmations I say to myself daily, that help me overcome my fears.

5. You are a medical student yet you are an entrepreneur with lots of skills . How do you keep up with your several interests and fortes?
As a medical student, I must say that it is really not easy to keep up with academics and being updated on skills especially in a school as stressful as mine. No matter how I try to stay away, I only get more interested in all these skills so I met someone who taught me something that helps as regards time management, planning.
By planning I mean allocating time to my academics, business and other aspects of my life and carrying out their activities during the time allocated to them in each day. I’ve not mastered this right now because I’m still in the process but that has helped me a lot.

Another thing is that I have accountability partners who help me checkmate my activities and ensure I achieve my goals while balancing the different areas of my life. This is also very important because I could slack on my own but because I have someone/people I report to daily, I try not to mismanage my time.

6. Your best quote?
Perfection is not attainable but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.

 7. What was growing up for you like? And did your childhood in any way prepare you for everything you do now?
Growing up was beautiful for me I would say. I can’t say that I suffered or I had nothing because I have parents who want the best for their children and would never want to see them lack or beg. Even when they’re not in their best financial situation, they try their very best to provide for my siblings and I, making sure we are always comfortable. So, I grew up depending fully on my parents and having my needs always satisfied.
Yes, I would say that childhood prepared me for everything I do now because I grew up having almost everything and begging for nothing. Yes, till today I don’t know how to beg because it wasn’t part of me in the beginning. I’m not trying to shame anyone who begs or anything but you know what I mean. I grew up wanting to be independent believing that after school, I’d have to leave my parents and cater for myself. I wanted to continue with the life I grew up with, the one my parents created for me and even start my own family in that manner. I’ve always wanted to get to the point where I’ll be able to manage most of my financial needs without involving my parents even while in school. You know, the point where I wouldn’t have to depend on any uncle, aunt or even friends. I have not gotten to that point yet but that’s where I’m headed.
Reading medicine and becoming a doctor has always been my childhood dream but as I grew, I realized that I can be a doctor and be other things too. I can make money as a student while waiting and preparing to be a doctor so, why not go for it? Having extra sources of income apart from the one my certificate brings wouldn’t hurt😉☺.

8. What keeps you up at night?
I value my sleep so if I’m awake at night, I’m doing something important. I’m either reading, doing work related stuff(taking a course, creating content, etc) or praying.

9. What is your study routine like?
I try to read/study at least 3 hours daily(this is a habit I am still cultivating because I’m not perfect at it yet). Most times, I read 1hr 30 mins-2hrs during the day and 2-3hrs at night. I have a reading timetable which is fitted into my daily time table.

10. One accessory you can’t leave home without
If my phone counts as an accessory, my answer would be my phone(my phone is my mobile office, why would I ever leave it?). If my phone doesn’t count, I always make sure I have my earrings on before I leave home so that would be the answer.

11. Where do you see yourself/your brand in the next 5 years?
I’ll take this question as two questions and answer separately.
First of all, how do I see my myself in the next 5 years? I know and believe that I as a person am a brand of my own. To start with, in the next 5 years I’ll be a practicing medical doctor, you know with my MBBS and I’ll be a well known woman in the digital world. The successful CEO of Her Domain Creations, yes, I’ll be a queen in my niche. A well sought-after doctor who isn’t only book-oriented but also a giant in the digital world, I’ll be The Digital Doctor.

The second question, how do I see my brand in the next 5 years? Apart from being a brand of my own, my business is also my brand. Her Domain Creations(HDC) my brand is a multi unit production enterprise, this is what I had in mind when I started. In the next 5 years, I know that HDC will be a well known name with different units successfully established. We will most definitely have a physical location with about one, two or three branches in different states in Nigeria.
HDC will be one of the best digital companies in Nigeria who partners and works with national and multi-national companies to improve the digital space of this country.
I’m excited to see what the next 5 years would bring.

12. If given the chance to be the president of Nigeria for a day, what will you change?
There are so many things I’ll love to change but most importantly, I’ll restructure the system of education. The system of education because it is one of the most important sectors of the economy that influences the thoughts of people especially the children and the youth.
I’ll improve the system of education so that the youth wouldn’t just see the school especially higher institution as a place to enter, get certified and come out depending on the government for jobs. I’ll make sure they are taught that education is beyond the walls of the school and that even as students, they can provide for themselves through legal means.

13. If you were given the opportunity to address a group of girls five years younger than you, what will be your advice to them?
Five years younger than me would be 15 lol. If given an opportunity to address a group of girls five years younger than me, I’ll tell them to start where they are because location is not a barrier, start with whatever they have (I started with my smartphone), keep putting in the work consistently and believe in themselves always. I’ll also make sure to let them know that they can be more than one thing at a time that is, they can be doctors and still be graphics designers, content creators and even chefs.

Jenifer Sitamili is a poet, motivator, innovator and change maker from East Africa, Tanzania. She is presently a college student who has a passion for younger students and organize events where she has sessions with younger generations to help them become best versions of themselves.

2. Who and what is your inspiration?

My inspiration is my mom who always reminds me to be myself and believe in what I do as well as all black girls who never let their age define them.

3. One accessory you can’t leave home without?

I can’t leave home without a wrist-watch because I love time management and I believe in working with time.

4. You are a motivational speaker and you have been to different schools to inspire and motivate girls. Any memorable experience and challenges?

Being in different schools made me meet a lot of girls with their own dreams and different life stories.

5. What do you do in your darkest moments?

I sing and dance

6. You had a project tagged “YOUTH ARISE WITH PUBLIC SPEAKING.” What was it about and what were you able to achieve with it?

YOUTH ARISE WITH PUBLIC SPEAKING is a platform which helps young girls and boys to stand up and speak for themselves and others about challenges, obstacles and ways to overcome them so as to achieve and fulfill their life desires and dreams.

7. You are an innovator. Can you share with us some of your innovations and innovative ideas?

During my secondary school days, I and my team were able to make products like pen pots, flower pots and cosmetics pots out of unwanted plastic bottles

8. What is that one thing you’ll like to change about yourself?

Nothing, I admire everything about myself and am grateful for being who I am.

9. What is the inspiration behind your writings and what do your poems border on?

Through my poems, I inspire youths to always stay true to themselves and be best versions of themselves and my poems border on different things like African culture, racism, love, as well plants protection.

10. If given the chance to be the President of Tanzania for a day, what will you change?

I will change the whole education system in Tanzania where I will let every child take what they have passion for from elementary school and grow up with it and not study many subjects as it is now.

11. You are a poet, motivator, innovator, agent of change and presently in college. How do you juggle all of these activities with your academics?

12. Where do you see yourself/your brand in the next 5 years?

Actually, I think I’ll be in a stage where my poems and ideas will reach every person I target. With my hard work, I see myself being one of African authors who brought impact in people’s life and ideology.

13. If you were given the opportunity to address a group of girls five years younger than you, what will be your advice to them?

They should know what they want to do now and not in the future they should start working on their dreams now with the code of believing in themselves, knowing their value and power as girls.

Omokehinde recently launched her cooking business in JABU “Just Pasta and Spice by Mo’s Kitchen.”

1.Let’s meet you. Who is Omokehinde….?

Well, Omokehinde is a Lover of God, a goal getter and a strong Faith walker.

2. Who and what is your inspiration?

My Dad inspires me a lot on becoming a better version of myself, seeing him and how he pours out so much into his work and never expecting anything in return and scarcely receiving this “Earthly” reward drives me so much to telling myself I will achieve all I want and I don’t need anyone’s reward for it to keep me at it so long as it blesses God and humanity.

3. One accessory you can’t leave home without?

Pen and Jotter! You would always find it in my bag or my hand… And if I don’t want to carry anything, I have my phone notepad to the rescue.

4. You are a professional makeup artist and CEO of Mokehinde Brushes makeover where you’re into makeup, gele tying, sales of products and training. How did MB start and how has it been so far?

Hmm. Mokehinde brushes makeovers started with a heavy inspiration and passion in 2015 when I quit my job as a teacher after few months of so much work and stress and I knew I wasn’t made to work for anybody. I started out with experimenting on my friends’ faces, I’d call them over, cook for them and work on their faces for hours because I didn’t have the money to go for training and I taught myself.

5. What do you do in your darkest moments?

I sing my heart out to God and I write.

6.You are a gospel music minister. What are the challenges you’ve faced so far, have you ever had to choose between gospel songs and other genres? Do you compose your own songs? And What does faith mean to you as a gospel musician?

No particular challenge. It’s not a competition. We’re all made differently! I’ve never had to choose, I’m sold out to God and so I’m proudly a Music Minister.
For me, Faith is trusting in God and working it out with the mind of God. You can’t have faith and just sit down, faith is activated by works!

7. You recently took your versatility and entrepreneurial spirit to a whole new level by launching “Just Pasta and Spice” by Mo’s Kitchen. How do you balance having your own kitchen with your everyday schedule?

Justpasta and Spice! I Love pastas (noodles and Spag and the likes) and my friends love me making their noodles so instead of doing it for free, I turned it to business. It’s not been so easy but I try to balance it. I take orders before 7pm so I meet up all my cookings before 8pm so I can rest too.

8. What is that one thing you’ll like to change about yourself?

Before it was my height (laughs.) This woman is short but on the bright side, it has its advantages too. I think I’ll still like to have a little more height.

9. You are a graduate of Linguistics at Ekiti State University. You went further to obtain a Diploma in Law and now you’re currently studying Law as your second degree. Why a second degree and why Law?

I had always wanted to study Law. The year I entered Eksu, Law was put on hold so I was given another course. After I finished Dad still pushed me to go on to studying Law. I lost interest and I wanted to back out but I didn’t want the future to arrive and I’d regret why I didn’t do what I wanted. So here I am.

10. If given the chance to be the President of Nigeria for a day, what will you change?

Corruption. I’ve never really thought about it though. But if I was given the chance, I will do what I promise and not do otherwise.

11. Did your upbringing in any way prepare you for everything you are into today?

Yes! I matured quickly! I saw life and things in a different perspective. Lost my mum at quite a young age and being the first child, I just had to grow.

12. Where do you see yourself/your brand in the next 5 years?

Fully fulfilling purpose and writing another vision for another next five years.

13. If you were given the opportunity to address a group of girls five years younger than you, what will be your advice to them?

Do YOU. Let no one or anything stop you. You’re not weak, don’t feed yourself with such mentality and you begin to act in that line. Rise up and be what God has called you to be, be a kingdom warrior and make your generation proud.

Charles County, MD — When EmauniJ Manley, a 7-year old girl, noticed that some of her classmates couldn’t afford school lunch, she immediately thought of a way to help them. She then created an online fundraiser, and hundreds of people helped her surpass her goal.

“I saw some kids just eating a cheese sandwich,” EmauniJ told NBC.

When she learned from her mother that other kids don’t have money to put on their lunch account, she decided that “I need to do a fundraiser so I can get more money for kids,” she added.

EmauniJ and her mother, who also works at her school, started the fundraiser on Facebook to raise money to pay the unpaid lunch accounts of as many students as possible.

The initial goal of the fundraiser was $800, but a week after it was started, it has already reached more than $4,300.

Principal Ben Harrington praised EmauniJ for her efforts. He said, “It’s really cool to see a student who’s 7 taking the initiative to impact other students at the school.”

According to Harrington, out of 500 students, about 100 receive alternative lunches, even though the school system is doing its best to avoid it.

“Elementary school students have a $25 deficit,” Harrington said. “They can go $25 before they get the alternative meal. Once you get into that deficit, sometimes it’s difficult to come back.”

Moreover, EmauniJ, who also became a published author of a book about having a positive self-image at the age of 5, is hoping she could raise more money to help her classmates in need.
